Miriam Glassman
Writer & Illustrator
Hello!
I'm Miriam Glassman, and over the years, I've had the pleasure of working in children's books as an author, illustrator, librarian, book reviewer, and in publishing. I've also written humorous and personal essays and a memoir for adults and taught writing workshops.
I am thrilled that my middle grade novel, CHASING POSSIBILITY received Honorable Mention in the 2026 Writer's Digest annual writing contest. This story takes readers back to the world of Emily Dickinson's beloved nephew, Gilbert, who lived next door. CHASING POSSIBILITY is a time-travel detective story about friendship, loss, and second chances.
In other writing news, my memoir, DEAR MR. PRODUCER, made the long list in the 2025 Santa Fe Writers' Project literary contest! This memoir tells the story of how my correspondence as 7th grader with the producer of The Mary Tyler Moore Show helped me navigate an especially challenging time in my youth. I hope to share more about this project soon!
